　　Are these events connected? Looking only at inpidual extreme events will not reveal their cause, just like watching a few scenes from a movie does not reveal the plot. But, viewed in a broader context, and using the logic of physics, important parts of the plot can be understood.

　　这些事件彼此关联吗?仅仅把注意力放在个别极端天气事件上是不能揭示其成因的，这就跟观看一部电影中的几个场面不能展现出其整个故事情节是同样的道理。只有放在更宏观的情境中，并使用物理学的逻辑去观察，情节中的重要部分才能够明了。

　　For fermentation to take place you need raw material, or feedstock, as it is known in the biofuels industry. Anything will do as long as it can be broken down into sugars, with the byproduct ideally burnt to produce electricity to run the plant.

　　译文：

　　要想实现发酵，就需要原材料，即生物燃料行业所说的“给料”。任何东西只要能分解为糖都可以利用。理想的做法是，用其副产品燃烧发电可维持工厂自身的运转。

　　But it will be the driver's responsibility to make sure that children under 14 do not ride in the front unless they are wearing a seat belt of some kind.

　　译文：

　　但是司机有责任确保14岁以下的孩子不要坐在前排，除非他们系好了安全带。

　　However, you do not have to wear a seat belt if you are reversing your vehicle; or you are making a local delivery or collection using a special vehicle; or if you have a valid medical certificate which excuses you from wearing it.

　　译文：

　　当然，如果有以下情况你可以不系安全带：你在倒车时，或者你用一种特殊交通工具进行当地的货物运送、收集时，或者你有合法的医学证明你不能系安全带时。
